Hello, I’m Amy, a UK based Embodiment Coach, Yoga Teacher and Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator.
I share tools and techniques to soothe the nervous system, let go of unhelpful habits and develop mobility and strength. This is incredibly helpful in counteracting the stimulation, stresses and strain of our modern lives. Building physical, emotional and mental resilience.
My personal journey with a chronic pain and fatigue condition has heavily shaped my practice and teaching. I often refer to myself as a ‘recovering over-doer’. Learning to slow down, rest and ‘feel my feelings’ has been deeply transformational for me. I use my experience and training to help others that may also share this tendency towards excess ‘doing or thinking’.
My approach is rooted in inclusivity and accessibility. I teach a blend of somatic movement and functional yoga, along with mindfulness meditation, relaxation techniques and embodiment practices. Movements are tailored to meet you wherever you are, on any given day. I guide you in how to gently build mobility, strength and resilience. There is an emphasis on slowing down and listening to what it is we truly need with kindness and compassion.
The coaching element of my work focusses on how we can integrate greater levels of awareness and bring new options into our daily lives. We work with the body to do this. I help people identify and break free from cycles of chronic stress and nervous system dysregulation. Supporting them to reclaim a felt sense of wellbeing. This transformational process often helps people connect to their authenticity and what it is they truly value in life.
I work with a wide range of clients of all ages and backgrounds – from those bed bound from pain, fatigue, illness or burnout to those with busy and active lifestyles.
I firmly believe that embodiment is key to building better lives for ourselves, others and the world around us. Yoga, movement and mindfulness can be for everyone and I offer a friendly, safe and inclusive environment for you to practice.
I continue to study, learn and deepen my knowledge, drawing from the embodiment field, alongside traditional yogic ideas, modern medical, anatomical and psychological thought. Here is an overview of my training to date:
